Accessing Aggregation Functions From the Report Canvas

You can use aggregation functions to quickly perform certain data aggregations and calculations on fields. When you select a field in the Report canvas, these options appear on the Appearance tab, in the Display group, in the Aggregation menu.

You can now access prefix operators from the Report canvas shortcut menu by right-clicking a field in your report and pointing to Aggregation, as shown in the following image.

The available options depend on the type of field (for example, BY, PRINT, or SUM) and whether the field is alphanumeric or numeric.
